Rapid Racing returns policy: digital tunes vs physical parts, revision rights, and when you get your money back.
Last updated October 20, 2026
We sell two very different things, so we have two very different return rules. Short version: hardware can come back, tunes are built-to-order and can't — but a tune that never ships is always refundable, and every tune carries revisions.
Digital tunes (flash calibrations)
Every tune is a custom calibration built for one VIN, one fuel, one hardware setup. It has no value to anyone else, which is exactly why it can't be resold — and why it can't be returned once the file has been built and delivered to your account.
Not built yet? Cancel any time before your tune enters the build queue for a full refund — no questions.
Built and delivered, but not right? Every tune includes revisions. Send a datalog through your account and we refine the map — that is the intended loop, and it is included.
If we can't build a safe, honest tune for your setup (wrong fuel, hardware we don't support, a motor we wouldn't tune), you get a full refund even after ordering.
Files that were flashed: a refund can't un-flash your ECU. If the tune isn't working for you, the answer is a revision or a restore-to-stock file — ask and you'll get one.
Physical parts (hardware)
30 days from delivery: return any unused part in its original packaging for a refund of the part price.
The part must be unused and unmarked — we can't resell an installed downpipe, and neither can anyone else.
Return shipping is on you unless we shipped the wrong part or it arrived damaged — then it's on us, and we'll send the label.
Refunds land on the original payment method within a few business days of the part passing inspection here.
Defective parts are a warranty claim, not a return — see below.
Warranty on hardware
Manufacturing defects are covered for one year: we replace the part or refund it. Wear, crash damage, misuse, and damage from running hardware outside its rated use are not. If a part of ours fails early, write us — we would much rather learn why than argue about it.
How to start a return
Email [email protected] with your order number and what happened. For tunes, open a support ticket from your account instead — that puts the thread next to your vehicle and its files, which is where the answer usually lives.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory consumer rights.
