The S58 is the current M-division straight-six: two mono-scroll turbos, from 2019 onwards in the X3 M and X4 M, then the G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4, and from 2023 the G87 M2. It takes the S55's cooling architecture and turns the wick up — a water-to-air charge cooler integrated into the intake manifold, a front heat exchanger on the low-temperature circuit, and a fuel system running over 5,000 psi of direct-injection pressure.
Same architecture, same honest upgrade path: grow the water-to-air circuit. The factory heat exchanger is the piece track-driven cars outgrow first, and a larger core there is the entry point for serious S58 cooling work — that's the shelf we carry today, sourced to order and specced per build. Manifold-level charge-cooler work exists for this platform and we're watching the product landscape before we carry it.
Our calibration desk ships per-VIN tunes for the N54 and B58 today; the S58 page is hardware support, honestly labeled. When S58 calibration coverage lands, it will earn its stage table here — not before.

The S58's charge cooler lives in the manifold; the front heat exchanger is what track driving outgrows first. A bigger core there is the honest first upgrade.
No. Like the S55 before it, the S58 cools charge air with a water-to-air charge cooler integrated into the intake manifold and a front-mounted heat exchanger on a low-temperature coolant circuit. Air never crosses the chassis through charge pipes — front-mount intercoolers are N54/N55-era hardware.
The twin-turbo S58 arrived in 2019 with the F97 X3 M and F98 X4 M, then powered the G80 M3 and G82/G83 M4 from 2021, and the G87 M2 from 2023. Our S58 heat exchanger fitment covers the G8x chassis; X3 M/X4 M fitment is confirmed per build at order time.
Not yet — our per-VIN calibration desk currently ships N54 and B58 tunes, and this page is the honest hardware shelf for the S58. When S58 coverage lands it will carry its own stage table with figures we can stand behind.
